Spring Festival Participation by Weed and Seed Committee

March 20-28, 2009 was the week of the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival. The Lehigh Acres Weed and Seed committee members were very active during this Festival.

Each day of the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival, committee members manned a Weed and Seed information tent and handed out hundreds of informational brochures. The goal was to increase public awareness of the program and recruit members for the sub-committees.

On Saturday, March 28th, the Weed and Seed committee members showed a sense of solidarity when they marched in the Spring Festival Parade carrying the Weed and Seed banner and passing out brochures to the public.
