Is there any interest in starting a Lehigh Star Gazing Club?
We could probably meet at the Lehigh library once a month, informally for a program, have a snack out, and go observing once a month somewhere out here in Lehigh. Would make a good family thing to do. Does anyone here work at the Library or could offer a meeting place at their business? All I ask for in a meeting place is a place to plug in my olde slide projector or have access to your VGA projector (until I get one.) If you have interest in a club, let me know and we'll work together to make it happen.

This is a .pdf Sky Map good for the month of September do a "Save As" to place it on your desktop to print out. It's two pages.
StarDate is an excellent resource out of McDonald Observatory Look for their PodCasts on iTunes or through THIS LINK
TEACHERS (download) HOME SCHOOL will want to download the StarDate Teachers Guide for information on how to use StarDate as part of your curriculum needs. Also included are some lesson plans.
On another note not related to Astronomy (unless you garden by star sign and moon sign) but of interest to Teachers and Veggie Gardeners, I suggest you check out http://www.Earthbox.com They have curriculum materials on using their Earth Boxes, and a Forum you can participate in. I do Veggie Garden in Earth Boxes as well as in raised beds. I also can and preserve.
If you should need help finding additional materials, let me know. I'm here to help.
