Great reason to get outside and enjoy! I complain about Florida's relentless heat but Florida, especially SW Florida in my opinion, has beautiful nature and I love the wildlife. I can't complain about that.

What kind of wildlife do you have in your yard?

We put in a bird feeder not long ago and I love spending my early mornings with coffee watching them. There's a red-headed woodpecker that visits but he only stays for a few seconds, long enough to get a few sunflower seeds and he takes off. He's absolutely beautiful! Also a very handsome blue jay (I call Meanie) stops by. He knows he's handsome, I can tell by the way he stands so proud with his chest out and feathers up. The tiny little green and yellow finches make up the majority. They are so entertaining. They play and fly all over the yard. I love watching them and so do our cats. The only bad thing is I've been unable to get decent photos of them.  I tried to snap a pic of  Woody (the woodpecker) but he's too fast, the pic didn't do him justice.

There are also bunnies, little cotton-tails that live on our property next door. I've see them only once in awhile. Last night was one of those rare occasions. It was dark so he had no idea I was watching from the window. I got a good look at him or her. Any suggestions for a name for the bunny?
