Many from the North call Florida Paradise. Many in Florida disagree that it is "Paradise."

Below, list what you think is a "Downside" to living in Florida.

 

1. High cost of Home Owner's insurance.

Mosquitoes!!! I think we could do without those pesky little things.

I agree, mosquitoes! I can't stand them! They find me no matter what.

Also, another downside is the sweltering heat that makes a you feel like you're the ant under the magnifying glass.

Yep, and how to park in our parking lots and pulling in and out of spaces. Are the parking lots different up north??

LOL, are you sure you want to know what I think? ;-) Downsides for me are fire season, rainy season, poisonous snakes, ATV's running down my street trying to run over my kids, no mom's websites (so no real way to make friends which was so easy in other states), and not being able to get certain jobs because I only speak English. There are many upsides too though. I like being close to the beaches, Disney/Busch Gardens, and not freezing my bum off for six months like other states that I have lived in, LOL. ;-)

And do you really want to hear my downsides? I think many of you already know that :p lets see... Fire season, Fire ANTS, gigantic palmetto bugs, mass swarms of mosquitoes, beaches aren't fun cause they're overcrowded or have red tide when they're not, not specifically northerners (because I am one) more specifically slow ass old foagie drivers (you know, those 90 year olds who drive 40 in a 60), traffic, lack of usable roads (see traffic), more over-development here than anywhere else (yeah, they build so much, they don't even use everything they have built and yet they build more), dumping (you know it, it's everywhere you look) , illegal immigrants ,

Snakes don't bother me, i've come across so many I ignore them ( just as long as they aren't in the house). ATV's don't bother me. I'm used to them riding up and down the side of the road every other day. I go out riding with a friend of mine now, but I don't drive recklessly like some of those guys out there.
