ATV doing 60!

This morning while still before sunrise, I am driving to work on 14th St. I am driving 45 mph. Behind me pulls up a 4 wheel ATV!!! Yep, right on the road; and right behind him is a pickup truck with an ATV in the back.

The 4 wheel ATV passes me on 14th while I am driving 45 mph!!! Then the pickup truck passes me. I pick up speed, and clock both of them traveling 60 MPH on 14th St.

An ATV driving 60 MPH, on a Street at night! OMG! I have noticed an increased in ATV traffic on our STREETS! I don't get it! It is against the law, but they just do not seem to care! What does it take to stop this danger in our neighborhoods? Does someone have to die before action is taken? You don't have to travel far in Lehigh to find ATV being driven on private and county properties.

Yes, I did get the tag number on the pickup truck, and LCSO has been notified.

An ATV passed me on Joel Blvd right near 14th st the other day. The guy driving wasn't wearing a helmet. I was thinking that one day while I'm on duty at the Fire Station we will be picking him up off the road in pieces.

Well, I sent a email to our local county representative, Commissioner Mann. Let's see what kind of response I get from him.

I could send him a couple of the photos I took 2 years ago of the two young teenagers lying in puddles of blood after they ran a stop sign on a four wheeler on East 10th St and hit a pickup in the intersection. Maybe that would light a fire under his arse.

What burns my arse is those wreckless dimwits don't have to care about their own safety if they choose to not care BUT atleast be mindful of others!! It isn't just themselves they can injure or kill!

That's great maybe they will catch them.  Glad to see the commissioners office is taking it seriously.

At least his assistant Chris Berry is taking it seriously, who knows if it ever made it to the Commissioners desk.
