Lehigh Acres improvement plan to be on display Oct. 30 news-press.com
A plan to improve Lehigh Acres and provide more commercial development will be displayed for public review Thursday, Oct. 30. The plan, prepared with the help of the Lehigh Acres Community Planning Corporation, will be submitted to the Lee County Commission for approval. The public review gives residents another chance to comment before the plan is submitted.
If accepted by the commission it will become part of the county’s land use plan and shape the future of the community. The plan has been in the works for five years, CPC president Bo Turbeville said. The CPC met publicly and accepted comments for the plan. They also met with county planners and developers to shape the plan. The plan provides for better code enforcement, improved building aesthetics and more commercial areas, according to Turbeville. The review will be held at Lehigh Senior High School on Gunnery Road. The presentation starts at 6:30 p.m.
