Guess who showed up yesterday evening. Commissioner Frank Mann and Robert Anderson. Must have been our lucky day. |

What is it called? Stringing people along? Good thing I'm not in journalisim, right? Yes, they graced us with their presence. We do have a new member on the board. His name is Willi and he is from Germany. Seems to be a very nice man. Not too much left to tell except that someone got angry and stormed out. |

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I guess it is time to get back into it.
Last night was fairly quick and productive. The aduience and board saw a master concept plan for the corner of Terry and Lee Blvd. The board had a few issues but the developer was willng to listen.
Our friendly neighborhood Frank LaRosa ofcourse questioned again the developers on who told them that they had to come and meet with us. Jim Mudd from the county was there and said that it is not a requirement but it is suggested.
Commissioner Frank Mann showed up and gave us encouraging thoughts for the job that we are doing. He reccommends that we keep shooting for the sky in everything we want.
Frank LaRosa then got upset because he said the WRT has never met with him about Parks and Rec. I explained that he had plenty of opportunites but did not take them. I told Frank that WRT had been present plenty of times for him especially on a few Saturdays that they came to Lehigh Acres for town hall meetings. Our wonderful elected official said "he don't work for anyone one on Saturdays". Because I have never been an elected official I didn't realize the easy hours that they keep. Do you think every honorable elected official has these same hours.
Unfortunately I work unpaid for a community and I've worked more hours on Saturdays only than others do all week.
It was at that time in the meeting that Frank LaRosa decided he wasn't getting anywhere and pushed in his chair and left the room. It became a much more relaxed atomosphere at that time.
We passed out the building standards to everyone present and the board decided to set up a committee with Jim Mudd of the county to work wth us on it . This is for manly our members who have experience in architectural, buliding, and ladscpaing knowledge.
I want to thank all the board for what they have done with these standards, especially for the hard work that Edd put into it.
Sincerely,
Bo

Bo,
With a board member acting in the fashion, and with he history of these types of actions, I would expect the board make a motion to remove this gentleman from the board.
This type of conflict is non-productive and lacks total professionalism.

Agreed, Except that our bylaws state either malfeasance, misfeasance, drunkeness, or a felony committeed while on the board. He is on the fence for misfeasance and it is being looked into. Most of the publice know him for what he is. I have heard that even the legal department at the hospital has had to repremand him.
Good things come to those who wait.

It didn't look good when Commissioner Frank Mann and Mr. Mudd show up at one of our meetings one of our board members leaves in a huff. It's actions like that, that prompt people to respond to Lehigh the way they do. JMHO |

Hi Stacy - So, Anderson didn't run for a seat or two? Sorry I missed the excitement. Who took the minutes? |

I believe that it was both Bo and Edd. When I first walked in and saw Robber, sorry I meant to say Robert, I thought he was going to. He just made a comment that we weren't abiding by one of the rules we made regarding making people come to the board twice before we gave approval. |

Thanks for the update on the meeting. I just got back in town this afternoon and have heard the story twice before reading it here. The antics of some people just have to make you shake your head.

I am glad to see Mel tell the story like it was.
Also, I noticed it has shot down Frank Lohlein's (CAIT) claim that the LACPC is not recognized. He now has to eat his words. The quote from the meeting was, "Mudd reiterated Turbveville’s comments and said the group “is important” and that in the future it would become “even more important to the county.”"
Jim Mudd is the county's principle planner. So again Frank has no clue what he is talking about on this issue. |

Oh, I'm sure one of Frank's mass emails will be on it's way. I noticed in the NP forum that he has yet to respond to the article. He must be very lonely over there. |

The smurf is a caricature of the Hon. Frank T. LaRosa |

Seeing how Lil' Frank continues to behave like a big baby, may I suggest that he be assigned a new seat on the LACPC board?
Is there enough money in the general fund to purchase a new pacifier for him? |
