I want to personally congratulate our own Stacy for being elected to the LACPC Board this evening. James Crews gave her a run for her money! That both gave great speeches, and LAL should be proud of them both.
There is another open seat vacated by Liz, and new applications are being accepted, and a new member will be voted on next month. James Crews assures me he will be running for that seat next month.
Congratulation Stacy.
I am sure you will be a welcome addition to the LACPC.
Way to go Stacie, hang in there James. There should be some input from a younger perspective on the LACPC.
A BIG congrats to Stacie! And yes, James, do not give up - we're so proud of you for caring enough to get up and make that speech about how much you care about Lehigh Acres!
Stacy congratulations on getting on the Board. James same to you, for trying.
Here is a very good article that covers in brief the meeting at the LACPC. Not the mention of the HUD housing by Goodwill Industries.

Spelled my name wrong Funny how the Citizen guy got it right and NP messed up.
NP boy massacred your named. Pathetic he could not check on that.
There are other inaccuracies as well.
For example, "Board member Liz Eilf has had four unexcused absences and will be sent a notice removing her from the board." <- Liz only had 2 unexcused absences; however, once one has 4, he/she may be removed. Plus, with all that Liz has done for the community over the years, did he really feel it was necessary to "report" the open seat this way, as this is an all-volunteer board?
"The board passed a resolution that will ask every developer to give two presentations to the LACPC before the project’s final hearing at the hearing examiner’s office." <- That is not exactly what what decided. The first meeting is for information-gathering and the second meeting is to answer any questions that were posed in the first. They don't have to really give two "presentations". OK, maybe I'm being picky - but I WAS at the meeting same meeting where NP boy was !!!
