There is an open seat on the Lehigh Acres Community Planning Committee, Inc due to the resignation of Keith Richter.
There will be an announcement in the news paper advertising a vacant position that needs to be filled.
If you think this is something you feel you would like to do, start working on your 3 minute presentation and resume now.

I have expressed interest in the seat. I doubt anything will come of it, but what's the harm in trying? My AA degree is 100% accredited! |

I wish you good luck as well. You are right - there is no harm in trying! Don't let anyone discourage you! There are folks here who can offer a ride if needed. All you have to do is ask. |

KB, Aside from the obvious few "knuckleheads," most people on the LACPC are well intentioned and fair minded. They just might give you a shot at the seat. It would be refreshing to have someone with a different perspective involved in community discussions. Ron |

I guess I'll be throwing my hat into the ring again. I figure the more the board has to choose from, the better for Lehigh Acres in general. |

I heard that the LACPC has declared a vacant seat that really is not vacant. I have heard that maybe a person who was removed due to 4 missed meetings actually only missed 3. So I am wondering if this error will be corrected in the meeting this week? |

I have not heard anything but that may not mean anything. The agenda is not out yet, so we should know tomorrow.
I beleive the seat that was declared open belonged to Liz Elif, it is possible her attendance was recrded incorrectly, she has been late to a number of meetings. Maybe one of those absences was recorded wrong. It's possible.
Of course, if you are habitually late maybe you should not be on the board either......... |
