According to the News Press, Dewey Tyler did not get his $5,000 he was seeking from Desmond Barrett. Instead Mr. Tyler has to pay $310 court cost, $60 processing fees and $200 to the Florida Elections Commissions for violations filed by Mr. Barrett.

Complete waste of the courts time and resources...donation nice touch...would have loved to have had that occur without either gentleman going to court.

Well in my own opinion, Mr. Barrett didn't have anything to apologize for. From what I seen from his campaigning, it was not negative at all. But I can understand why he did, to end it and move on. As far as the deal/fine, It speaks for itself.

Mr. Barrett even gets to deduct the donation to Lehigh Community Services off of his taxes. I agree, what purpose did this serve?
