OK, I was wondering why the Leader of the most powerful country in the world needs a teleprompter to speak to 6 grade children? |

Ooopps..thing you got it wrong, just like many of the Right Bloggers. They have retracted many of their earlier accusations.
He used the teleprompter to talk to the media that was assembled at the school, then went to another room to chat "unassited" with the kids. |

I gave up believing that the opposition party had anything of value to say after they critized Obama last fall for his "back to school" speech.
Why pretend otherwise..Republicans only want him to fail. |

I am a Republican, and I don't want him to fail. If he fails, we all fail and will suffer. He was elected by the people, so the people have spoken. Let's make the best of it; in turn I don't have to agree with all his plans for us. . . ie Obama Care. I just wish they would work on JOBS! |

Using teleprompters to talk to the media. Is that any different than someone reading little cues that are written on their hand? I am an Independent. I will never vote for a party that doesn't try and solve our problems. The Republicians have done nothing but oppose everything that President Obama has proposed. Including one bill that they came up with. I worked with someone last week. All I heard about was Palin. When I finally told him that would guarantee Obama his second term. He finally shut up. It is the Independents that decide the elections. Not the Democrats or Republicians. Hopefully both of those parties will realize that before the country goes completey bankrupt. William James. |

Or maybe he was afraid one of those 6th graders were going to ask him a question that he could not answer.
Even with Bill said, "I did not have sex with that woman" did not need a teleprompter! It is obvious Obama has some self confidence issues.
Any idea what teleprompters looked like in the 1800's or even in the 1900's?

Please STOP with the misinformation..you know there were no students present when he used the teleprompter. He went to a different room to talk with the students. BTW.. check out http://www.snopes.com/politics/obam...hgrade.asp for more detailed info on this subject. If we are going to have a political thread, we should at least attempt to be truthful in our assertions AFTER they have been shown to be false. Apparently this is a widespread problem. I have a Republican friend who sends me all sorts of political email, most of which are critical of the President and his policies. I read them all and with the ones that are most outrageous, I do some research and call him on the ones that contain lies. It is amazing to me that he continues to send out things that he doesn't "FactCheck" on his own..he merely finds things that fit his own agenda and sends them on. Last week my "friend" sent an email that depicted a prison that was supposed to be a new facility in Cook County, IL. Of course the email was outraged that criminals were living in a "country club" and that Senator Obama (before he became President) made sure that the Federal govenment paid for this place with earmarks. Funny thing though, that all of the pictures were of a prison in Austria. Oh well, I guess the Republican motto has been , and always will be, "Alls fair in love, war...and politics." Ron |

What am I supposed to gain from watching this video?
Yes, former Gov. Palin, used a school kid crutch to remind herself how to answer a setup, softball question.
But all of that is besides the point. No one is questioning whether or not Palin used notes. Admittedly, a few of us may have chuckled at her "slight of hand." Good grief, even Connie Mack knows how to say "freedom, tax cuts and less government" to answer any question he is asked without referring to his hand.
All I am saying is that you have stated twice that the President used a teleprompter to talk to sixth graders..he did not. Please at least own up to that and lets move on.
Time for a new thread.

I have a sense of humor--
I laughed at George W. Bush for 8 years ..when I wasn't crying about the thousands of Americans he sent to their death.
I've been laughing at Sarah Palin since August, '08..except for the saddness I have watching otherwise intelligent Americans fawn over her good looks and shallow thinking.
I love to laugh at the humor of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert.
What I don't find funny, but is apparently ok with you, is the spreading of lies.
Sad to me that you continue to make jokes rather than man up and admit it.
Guess I'm just an old sour puss when it comes to telling the truth and admitting mistakes.

As a Liberal, you are way too sensitive. It was ok here when people bashed Bush when he was in office, but it changes when a Democrat (Obama) replaces him? Obama has made mistakes like most, and it is OK to laugh. If you will check the numbers, I think you will find more Americans died under President Clinton reign than under Bush's, unless you are talking 911 which much of Clinton must take credit for also.
I thought your skin was tougher than this, I am sorry I have hurt your feelings. I have a right to speak my mind also.
I have not posted lies here, only videos that I did not make, just passed on for some humor.

This is only about the TWO times (please go back and review YOUR own comments in this thread) that you claimed that the President used a teleprompter to speak to 6th graders. That is a LIE, a misrepresentation of the truth or a bad piece of misinformation..any way you slice it, that is all that I'm trying to make you understand.
I don't care whose errors you have posted or which side you have posted them about..PLEASE at least use the facts and acknowledge when you haven't.

2 years ago. I posted on here about the way some people were Bashing President Bush. I thought it was wrong. Now we have a different President. Why can't people accept who won the election? Why do people constantly want the Bash the President? One of the reasona I voted the way I did was because of the way one contender was constantly Bashing Obama that made me vote for him. All the negativity won't change a thing. He is our President. People should respect that. Not look for everytime he mispronounces a word. Or all the foolishness that is going on about him.
