POOR MAN'S SALISBURY STEAK

4-5 slices of white bread, crusts removed

I pound hamburger

1 T flour, heaping

Beef Broth (Campbells Soup).

1/2 can water.

Put bread in bowl. Add 1/2 can of beef broth and let bread soak up the broth.

Add hamburger and mix together thoroughly. (I use my hands to mix))

Make into hamburger patties.

In skillet, heat 1 T oil. Add hamburger patties and brown on each side, about 5 minutes per side.

Push patties to one side and add 1 heaping Tablespoon flour to grease and mix.

Then add remaining 1/2 can Beef Broth and 1/2 can water..

Mix quickly so that there are no lumps

Stir over medium heat to thicken.

Move patties into center of pan, spoon broth over patties and cover.

Turn heat to low and cook for ten minutes.

Kids love this! Serve with mashed potatoes. Gravy is delicious.
