This past Sat I was helping a friend move down from ocala to Lehigh. When we ran up on a car with a flat tire. Now I dont normally stop for it but I notice a little old lady standing there and she was waving at me. So I pulled over and to see what I could do for her. She stated to me she had been there for over 2 hours no cell phone and waved at a bunch of car's to see if she could use a cell phone to call some one for help. I Told her no problem at all and asked if she had a spare she did . Well As she called some one My frined and I put on the spare and by the time she was off the phone it was all done.
She was so happy and sad at the same time. I asked her why and she stated that no one had botherd to help for over 2 hours and she had waved and asked for help dozens of times. What if some one was hurt in the car or she need medical aid asap. This made me very angery and I for one hope as a community we can help each other out. At least run the window down a few inches and ask if you can call some one for them and be on your way. Thats all it takes yo never have to get out of the car or truck.
God bless you Riddler! That was great of you to help her out. We need more people like you in the world!
Thank you for reminding us of the greatness within, 'Riddler', that people seem to forget they can tap into ...
you are a good man Riddler.
I'm glad that you took the time to help the lady, it makes me mad as this is not an uncommon occurrence. Is it laziness, people wrapped up in their own selves that they are not aware of their surroundings or is it fear of being set up as a victim? I call *FHP on my cell when I see people in distress while traveling the highway. It takes very little effort on my part while providing self protection plus assurance help is on the way. I tell FHP what I saw and what mile marker they are near.
