This may be old news however I was reading the minutes and package from the recent Lee County Municipal Planning Organization meeting I see that our current Commissioner in District #5 has once again failed the residents of Lehigh Acres with respect to widening Homestead Road.

The MPO Director Don Scott said "in this case the County does not have enough Impact Fees to cover the project."

My question is where did the millions of dollars go that had been collected by the County on all the construction that happened during the building boom of 2003-2006? I guess they spent it all in South Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

This is just another example why Lehigh Acres needs local representation on the Board of County Commissioners and the only way to achieve that is to elect Sonny Haas on November 4th.
