Crime is down in Lee County "Statistics compiled by the Lee County Sheriff's Office show that crime continues to fall in Lee County. The first six months of 2010 show the crime rate is down nearly eight (8) percent county-wide compared to the same time frame in 2009. In addition, total violent crimes including murder; robbery and sex offenses saw a decrease of nearly three (3) percent, while non-violent crimes including burglary; larceny and motor vehicle theft saw a decrease of nearly nine (9) percent. ..." I would have to say that a lot of this has to do with the economy and the large amount of undesireables who have left the county for greener pastures. If I am wrong slap me.

Good point Bob. I may be wrong, but wasn't there a rise in crime here when they tore down the projects in FM and moved the people here?
