News Press has an article that Dr. Browder just received a new two year deal that guarantees him $341k no matter if he is terminated or if he leaves his position. Okay, so he quits and gets $341k of our tax dollars. What a bunch of garbage. While teachers are being laid off, school enrollment dropping, he gets a big fat raise and a guaranteed $341k contract. The board says they wanted to treat him like a CEO. Well school board, mission accomplished. CEO pay has been ridiculed and you should suffer the same. I hope in two years, when those who approved the deal are up for re-election, get the swift kick in the rear out of office. Props to Mr. Chilmonik for looking out for us taxpayers. It's a shame your peers are not. |

This is quite incredible. How can a school board approve a contract like this? Were they asleep? My understanding is he gets paid even if he quits the job! I want a job like this! |

They did this before about 10 years ago with D'Allesandro (sp). If memory serves currently we are still paying her.
