Lee County schools to let parents know of free tutoring

Eleven Lee County public schools have to offer free tutoring because they did not meet federal education standards.

To inform parents in these schools of their options, the school district is holding its third annual Supplemental Education Services Provider Fair for the 2008-09 school year on June 28.

The schools that have to offer this private tutoring are:

• Elementary schools: Bonita Springs, Colonial, Edgewood, Heights, J. Colin English, Tice and Michigan International Academy

• Middle schools: Fort Myers, Lee, Lehigh Acres and North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts

• Special centers: Lee Adolescent Mothers Program
