I wonder how many of the parents out there feel as I do. I have 7 children so I know a bit about public schools and I must say that the little prison camps they have here in Lee County are the worst I have ever been associated with.
The darn schools do not allow the students to have any freedoms normally given our citizens no freedom of expression and I have never seen so many fights and such badgering by the faculty.
I know of one student who just lost all her credit for this semester because she had a small stud above her eye. She was asked to remove it and didnt do it fast enough and was told she would have to be in ISS (in school suspension) for the whole day. She responded by saying that that was unfair and ridiculous and was then told she was suspended OSS (out of school suspension) for 5 days.
They wanted to send her to ALC (alternative learning center) A great place to buy drugs and learn how to be a real criminal that is basically a lockdown with bogus classes and is chocked full of harrassment from other students and the staff.
My son was sent to ALC last year and he learned all about hookers pimping crack and pills.
The school system needs a total overhaul I feel very bad for the students who are wasting away in the Lee County Schools.
