draw you a picture robert, raise the rates for the insurance and medicare to pay hmm ok fine, now who pays for that raise in the long run? Oh gee the taxpayer.wow thats a tough one huh robert.

Guess what if Lee county EMS is called in you will pay the higher rates so why not raise LAFD rates equal to Lee County EMS?

Lee County sets their Ambulance Fees as they see fit. LAFD serves Lehigh Acres and the board set their Ambulance Fees as they saw fit.

I see you are the only one having a problem with it after FLIP FLOPPING of course.

Have you found joy in your life? Has your life brought joy to others?

The subject of the post is this ......

http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080918/NEWS0103/809180348/1005/ACC

If Medicare and Private Insurance will pay for the higher fees as they already have in other Fire Districts and Lee County EMS.

Quote........

"The higher fees could have raised an additional $150,000 in 2009.

"The bulk of the money comes from insurance payers and not from your citizens," said Jack Donahue of ADPI, the company that manages the billing service for the district."

Our Fire Board just gave away another $150,000 WHY??????
