For the record, from my perspective Mel Toadvine and the Lehigh Acres Citizen have been easy to work with and very professional. In the column I want to stay out of the politics and focus on the many positive things people in the department do but often go unnoticed and try to answer any honest questions people may have. I also want to reach out to as many people in our community to let them know of all the things we do besides put out fires.
Here are some of the courses currently available through Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue:
CPR Classes
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Classes. These teams can be for communities, church groups, businesses, high school.
Fire Extinguisher Certification
Life Safety Presentations for children, schools, civic groups, senior citizens, etc.
Juvenile Firesetter Intervention
