For almost a year, however it was occupied for several years by another department before it was given to us to use. I do have to say that if any repairs are needed, they are taken care of quickly. We have had some problems in the past with some possums and cats taking up residence underneath but I think the barrier that was put up around the bottom will keep everything but the lizards out now.
Does anyone know how the trailer(s) at ECWCD are maintained?

And how will you reduce spending?? Are you not taking the health insurance. Not getting paid??? What are your plans??

At this time I do not have all the answers.But when I am elected I will make it my mission to consolidate the other board members in to one mind set, that is to do our best to seek out better and more efficient ways to operate the ECWCD there for saving any wasted dollars that may be found and save the taxpayer a few dollars.

Today they are clogged with weeds,moss,and trash,makes one wonder how badly we would flood if we were to have a sever storm come our way. Some culverts and bridges are in such bad repair that one of these days someone will driving over one and have it collapse,Think about it,would you like to be the one whose house is burning and the bridge or culvert collapsed under the weight of the fire truck and their they sit watching your house burn.

Dewey Tyler’s Response to Desmond Barrett’s Opinion
I appreciate Mr. Barrett’s expression of his opinion on the upcoming election to the East County Water Control District board of directors. I agree with his conclusions that this election will bring about significant change to how this board’s business is done. However, I do not agree with his prediction that the change will lead to a negative atmosphere. The only reason to expect a negative atmosphere is that the existing board members resistance to suggested changes from the newer members. Mr. Barrett may be privy to information commonly unknown about the management of the ECWCD which allows him to predict the termination of the district manager. If I am honored with the vote of confidence by the voters and I'm successful in being elected to seat 4, I will be going into the job looking to make sure the district is using its resources in an efficient maner. The district manager will be challenged to be frugal with the funds available and expected to justify every major expenditure. The public are not in the mood to support further expansion of the budget. It is my position that everyone on the board should be “anti-tax”; we are not there to be “pro-tax”. If we had a healthy, open-door communication policy with our electorate, we would already know how they stand on our efforts. I have always been an advocate of open meetings and full transparency in all district business. I expect to continue with this business model. I do not know why Mr. Barrett thinks limited, localized, small government will “ruin the community in the long run”, but I know if everyone puts an honest effort into planning and executing the plan, we can be successful. It is my purpose to bring change to the ECWCD to reel in costs, but not to adversely affect our primary goal of the water district. Yes, I'm one of u. I have been live in Lehigh seen 1976. I have gone to school @ Riverdale in the late 70's. I stood by my friends to fight the bullies. I will stand up to the specical interest group. Give me a chance and I will fight for all of the citizens of Lehigh. My office is open 7 days a week now and if I'm elected in Nov. If you have any complaint about ECWCD you can come by anytime without appointment. I'm not going backward. Whatever the citizens of Lehigh wanted. I will vote as they wish not the special interest group. I hope this will clear up a few thing.
PS. I got 43% of the vote last time I ran for ECWCD. It is very hard for anybody to over come my base of 43%.

I checked the actual voters last election vs. this election and hate to say this but it appears alot of people have fled Mr. Tylers "base".  Last election Mr. Tyler received 7,425 votes.  This election Mr. Tyler only received 1,830. 

That is why you should never think that just because you took 43% of the vote last time that you will have the same ones vote for you again.  This pretty much proves they do not.

I wanted you to get this one Tyler.

snookerman111, It is all about the money. My late father told me money is not free. I did not take any donation from any special interest group or anybody else. I don't cry over a spill milk. The job onl pay $250 a month. Why the special interest group put so much money to defeat me? I just read a newspaper artical. A elected public office man got busted by the FBI. He told his wife to  flush  a check of 100k in the toilet and his wife got 80k in her underwear when the FBI knock on their door.
