Where are the rest of the minutes???

This could have been and could still be a great place for residents to read what occurred at meetings they are unable to attend.

People need to understand that when they're deciding between breastmilk and formula, they're not deciding between Coke and Pepsi.... They're choosing between a live, pure substance and a dead substance made with the cheapest oils available. ~Chele Marmet

Upon the return of my wife this evening from her Fire Board meetings, she says that she is voting to cut her pay by 50%. She also informs me that the Chief will be cutting his pay by 10%. And what has the union done? Not a darn thing except want to cut are ambulance service. While the Union does not want to cut jobs, cut benefits, cut pay the community is hurting. In my own home my wife’s pay at her work was cut in half. Now she taking another pay cut at the fire house while the fat cats at the union hall continue to collect dues and live high on the hog. This tax payer says; GIVE ME A BREAK!
What needs to be done is cut benefits. Health Care and retirement is the leading driver of salaries at the department. The Salaries make up a large part of the budget. Yet the union suggest that we should not cut or limit the number of positions. GIVE ME A BREAK. The union should be forced to take a 10 reeducation in benefits along with Salary cuts like other departments. Then we can talk about raising more taxes.
If you don’t remember it was the Union Brothers who built two fire houses, it was Union Brothers who hired the majority (outside of the last nine) firefighters and now it’s the Union Brothers who are stone walling the public. GIVE ME A BREAK!

(My wife does not endorse nor support any of my suggestions.) AND TO THAT I SAY GIVE ME A BREAK! You get them elected and can’t control them.

Desmond, you have listed a few of the very reasons I have never supported a union and believe that all unions should be done away with.
