Is LAL providing free "private business advertisements" on your "Home" page now? (Announcement section)

Nope, and I have removed one and reworded another. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

The intent was to let parents know about the low-cost after school program. Too many kids are home alone in the afternoons while the parents work and kids with nothing to do usually get in trouble (idle minds...). I thought it was a good announcement considering school just started. I do however understand your concerns regarding it is a business. I know you are aware of that business being a place where single and less fortunate parents can bring their kids for a reduced if not free service that is very beneficial to the kids and parents. The more kids we get off the streets, the less we have to worry about these kids doing drugs and getting into major trouble. Personally I don't care how we get them off the streets, as long as we do it.

Until certain local organizations start updating their sites or at least sending announcements out on time, our announcement section will be bare. I'm trying to keep things fresh.

If you let one  you must let them all no matter the reason.Simple.

I hope I did not ruffle any feathers. If you were now placing business advertisements on the HOME page, I was going to get the information out to others in the community.

No feathers ruffled here.  I agree with Bob.  I know of at least one business that would be on the Home page (Mine), if I thought any sort of business ads or promotions belonged there other then our Star Businesses, and our hosting provider ad (Which helps in paying for the server space etc...)..  The Home page, in my mind, is LAL's Front door, not to mention, most of the time it is where people end up when they are searching for info on Lehigh Acres.

Hopefully I didn't ruffle feathers anywhere else either,  I didn't mean to if I did.
