BSG, I cannot answer your question as to why Mr. Anderson works so hard with a goal to disrupt our positive community efforts. This is a question you will have to ask him, but the rest of us must continue in a beneficial way and ignore his negativity.
Mr. Parker you have I have had this conversation before, please call me before you make these types of posts in the future. I will give you the facts as I know them.
Yesterday while this so-called boycott campaign was initiated, I was at work, and received a couple telephone calls alerting me as to what was going on. At that point I did not have the time to take action or provide a comment on LAL or any other local forums. It is difficult to make these posts riding driving around in an ambulance all day.
Lehigh Acres Live is a solid partner with the Lehigh Acres Weed and Seed program as adopted at the Nov 20, 2008 Steering Committee meeting by the committee.
Bo Turbeville has assured me that Lehigh Acres Live will continue its partnership status quo. The new website being created is a requirement by the Justice Department. It would take an action/vote from the members of the Steering Committee to break this partnership and not just on a word of one person with no authority to make program announcements.
We all must remember, although Mr. Anderson volunteers on the Media Relations Committee, he does not have the authority to make interviews or announce policy changes not adopted by the steering committee to the public. The Weed and Seed program has a spokesperson for those duties.
Do to my rotation at work; I have been unable to attend the Steering Committee meetings. That will change in the near future.
I ask if any more rumors are started about LAL and the Weed and Seed Program, please come to me, Bo, Damon or any of the other Weed and Seed representatives in authority. Don’t let unfounded rumors derail this train. Don’t come to conclusion from hearsay information given out by individuals that do not have the authority to represent LAL or the Weed and Seed program.
