Phil Flood, the area director in charge of Southwest Florida, will assume her duties with no immediate plans to fill her position.  (The article doesn't say who put him in charge or if he really ASSUMED the director's duties!)

Mr. Flood said "not filling Haag's position will allow headquarters in West Palm to use the staff position to work on Northern Everglades restoration project just passed by the Legislature, which aims at improving the health of Lake Okeechobee and the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie rivers."
