I would like to go... However I have already verbally committed to going to at least five different Dem functions only to space on the date or have something come up so, no guarantees.

I'm going to try to attend two in two days. I'm committed to one for Robet Neeld Saturday evening in Cape Coral. Will try to make this one. Veggie pasta sounds good.

Look forward to seeing you there Stacy.

I have to miss the Neeld event. My Republican cousin from Ohio and I are having lunch Saturday near St. Pete.

KB,

You can choose your friends, but you're stuck with your relatives. My cousin (ex-cop, army vet, etc) and I actually get along quite well. We can discuss issues, disagree and not be disagreeable.

Sadly, some of my best friends back in O-H-I-O are Republicans. In additon, some of them are also felons..probably no small coincidence

PASTA PALOOZA II report:

The Lehigh Democratic Club had a full house at the Majestic Country Club yesterday. Lots of good food, great fellowship and tremendous enthusiasm for the many Dem candidates that spoke.

Check out www.freewebs.com/lehighfladems later this week for photos of the event.

I had a nice time at the Pasta Palooza. Met some very nice folks. Sometimes I feel like democrats should be meeting in a back room under the cloak of darkness. We are not all bad people. I believe we all want what is best for our country. Because we live in America we are free to make the choices we do. We should value this freedom.

Okay, I'll step off the soap box now.

Don't worry Stacy. I love a good debate, and tickled to death we do have all parties on LAL. Although I am a registered Republican, I have no problem crossing party lines to vote for the one I feel will help my country the most.

Hi Stacy,

Glad you had a good time.

Ron

Did you'all "meet" in real life?!

Glad to hear that the event went so well!

Ron, I did not realize this organization existed. I have placed a link to your website on the HOME page of LAL.

Looks like a larger crowd than last year. Wish we could have been there. We had a good time last year.

my bride and I are also regestered republicans but like leemedic we have voted a split ticket,in reality to us it does not make difference what party you belong to we will vote for who we think is best for the local, state and national positions.we were sitting on the fence  and had not really decided between obama and McCain but obama with the lipstick thing and fowler with her comment about abortion pretty much ended any hope for him getting our vote.

TODAY I AM CELERBRATING THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE
