Community Council of Lehigh Acres holds Election
An election for seven seats on the Community Council of Lehigh Acres takes place during the month of November. The council recently expanded its elected membership to 21 persons, each serving a three year term. The full council is made up of 41 individuals and representatives from various civic, social, industry, and government groups. The council deals with various issues and serves as an advocate for the concerns citizens of Lehigh Acres to government agencies.
Ten candidates qualified for the seven seats on the Council. To vote you must be a Lehigh Acres resident and a registered voter in Lehigh Acres. Voter ballots can be found in this paper and at the polling places listed below, blank ballots only may be copied. Completed ballots may be mailed to the address listed on the ballot or dropped into one of eleven ballot box locations. The election results will be announced the first week in December. Council meetings are open to the public. The group meets on the third Monday of each month at the VeteransParkRecreationCenter.
